I’d been looking at the Winter Triad for a bit as a fun hike to get a FKT, today was the day. Got kind of a late start but definitely got it done!  My plan was to go slick as I could refuel and rewater in the car between peaks. Hit Arab first, wore snowshoes the whole way, probably didn’t need to though. Quick and easy up and down. Then hopped in the car to go to Goodman. Got stuck for a bit as the lot wasn’t plowed out, but got unstuck with the help of a Good Samaritan. Went up Goodman, still feeling pretty good. Considered a bushwhack down but got into cliffs pretty quickly, so headed back on trail. Uneventful descent and then drove a mile down the road to Coney. Once again, very easy hike, still in snowshoes but could’ve gone with spikes. Was able to grab a couple short bushwacks on the way down. Had a good bit of snow dumped on my back from trees dropping it, but stayed warm throughout even with just base layers and hiking pants.
