Shiv Mandir - Hidimba Dham - Old Church
-
Had given myself a target of 90 minutes for the 3 climbs, starting and finishing at the YMCA gate. First climb to Shiv Mandir was fast - fresh legs got me my own CR for the ascent (11:xx) and a total return time of 17:xx.
-
Hidimba climb was again hard - the hardest in the vicinity I’d say. Took a slightly different route to the top this time - there are a number of trails going up and this set was one of the steeper combinations. Missed my ascent target by more than 5 minutes but finished the total journey in 37:xx.
-
Did a fun little circle around Sita Tal to get some blood flowing and prep for the last climb.
-
The Estate hill climb to the old Church is the longest, albeit not the hardest. With the entire ascent spanning 1.8km, the hard and steep sections are mostly in the first half. Most of this segment is runnable with gradual gradients throughout. Tired legs meant I couldn’t beat my CR of 13:xx but got it in 17:xx which is fine considering I really haven’t been giving myself much rest and that most of this is fun stuff. Finished the hill in a total time of 27:xx, taking the overall timing to 1:28:xx for the three climbs and the Sita Tal circle.

The complete activity included a warmup run to the start point (~7 min) and the walk back from the start point to home (~19 min).
The Strava run includes the route as a segment with the correct timing. The .gpx export has some loss of data resulting in 3 extra seconds.
