Running for a Cause
Sandbox Run: 23 & 24 Oct 2021 (Phuket – Thailand)

This run covered just over 180KM around the island of Phuket, Thailand. Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. We partnered up with Qatar Charity to raise fund for a charity project. The project was to help needy families in Palestine to develop a farmland size 500sqm. The land will help give this family a sustainable income for years to come. The goal was to raise QAR 27 thousand. I Mubarak Al-Khulaifi from Qatar ran with Pornsak Thongchai from Thailand.

We ran counter clock wise around the island of Phuket, starting at the bridge to the mainland on the most northerly point of island. We ran with a team of local runners supporting with food and drink during the run.

We followed the Fastest Known Time: North to South of the island  (Phuket route) 68KM in an attempt to break it, whilst establishing FKT first for round the island where we then cut across to the east side and up back to the bridge
