Description

A well known Lake George route, and often underestimated, Buck mountain is a great challenge for a technical trail runner looking for a tough, steady climb. The terrain varies, with hard packed sections, stream crossings, rocks and roots, exposed scrambled, all rewarded with amazing views. Just below the summit is a scrambly section that looks back at Lake George, and the true summit faces west overlooking the lake, with views of the Tongue Range, and the high peaks in the distance. An Adirondack classic and a must for hikers and trail runners to the Lake George region.
