Description

The “Lechtaler Höhenweg” is a spectacular high alpine ridgeway which leads on demanding paths over the main ridge of the Lechtaler Alps. The main route runs between „Stuttgarter Hütte“ and „Anhalter Hütte” at an altitude between 2000m and 2600m.

The route described here includes the ascent and descent to the “Lechtaler Höhenweg” from corresponding bus stops and parking lots in the valley. The entire track is about 79km long and has 6400m difference in altitude.

Route: Zürs - Stuttgarter Hütte – Leutkircher Hütte – Kaiserjochaus – Memminger Hütte – Württemberger Haus – Steinseehütte – Muttekopfhütte – Anhalter Hütte - Pfafflar Plötzigtal
The whole trail is marked with signs and markings. The route includes challenging technical sections. A corresponding alpine experience is necessary.
