Really loved this route. Starts off outside Manor Park station and in seconds you are weaving through the amazing expanse of Wanstead flats and its trails. We've had plenty of rain and this firsr section was waterlogged - which was a theme of the whole route.

There are no signs so you need to rely on a combination of gpx and "brain". I found this fun but not entirely successful. From the start I was taking a right trail rather than a left and then I'd weave my way back but over rougher ground.

On this route you leave one section cross a road and join another section. It's very easy to exit or join a section slightly wrong which means you may join a path that starts to take you away from where you need to be. It's never too bad but I spent a lot of time in woodland areas just going off route to try and get back on right path.

In Epping forest I constantly found myself following the gpx but with the autumnal leaf fall and waterlogging never quite sure if I was actually on any path at all.

Whats amazing about this route so close to London is that you are almost remote and off-grid the entire way. This was an unsupported run but you could have found stuff at any of the Epping cafes which were all open.

You finish at Epping St which is on Central line. Perfect.
