The 3 of us and dog left the parking lot at 10:30am on saturday after driving over.  We had food and camping equipment to spend 1 night out on the trail.  It was out intention to do the trail in 2 days with a good night of sleep.  We decided to go clockwise because we thought it would put us through the rocky sections on the first day but actually the most scrambly sections are on the north side and we hit them on day two.

We made fast time through the flat and straight sections the first morning and stopped after a few hours for lunch near a beaver pond.  Creek crossing were pretty easy and we were able to stay dry but we ran into section of flooded trail.  Shaded sections were still frozen.

Camped in a beautiful grove of cedars. It rained lightly in the evening and through part of the night.  We did ~16 miles the first day. Started out on the trail again just before 9am. Was slow going through scrambly sections for most of the day and we thought it might be a really long day but then were able to moved faster on the eastern section and finished at 4:40 pm under sunny skies.
