The Albsteig Black Forest is a Hiking Trail and leads you 83.3 kilometers along the small river Alb. Contrary to the direction of flow, go from the official starting point at Albbruck on the Upper Rhine to the source on Feldberg and overcome over 2,700 vertical meters. From the Feldberg the loop leads you back to St. Blasien and ends you in front of the Cathedral. "Marvel at numerous waterfalls and the devil's kitchen in the rock-lined, steep gorge of the lower Alb valley, hike through unspoilt landscapes, over blooming meadows, through the quiet Hotzenwald and along the Menzenschwander or the Bernauer Alb to Feldberg.
