Description

The route starts around 3100m in Plantat Refugee, from there, there is a mix of trail, rocks, penitentes and a glacier that converge at 5500m. Until this point, this is the same route for San José Volcano (5856m). At 5500m it is where the path divides: To head towards Marmolejo it is necessary to descend 500m, crossing a glacier, frozen lagoons, always appreciating clearly Marmolejo, at first a massive mount that is necessary to climb again. Since those previous meters down will take you to 5000m to reach the summit will mean a little bit more of 1000m up, the direction is clear, always heading to the highest point.

The way back is the same route. It is important to consider that it will be very important to save energy since those 500m of glacier/ downhill will become uphill on the return.
