Mount Daniel is the high point of King County, WA, and a frequently climbed mountain. The standard Southeast Ridge route begins at the Cathedral Pass Trailhead. Follow the Cathedral Pass trail for approximately 4.2 miles to it's junction with the PCT. Take the PCT southbound for about two tenths of a mile to the junction of Peggy's Pond trail. Follow this trail to Peggy's Pond then ascend the climbers trail on the SE Ridge of Mount Daniel. Follow this obvious ridge to the saddle below the East Peak of Mount Daniel and then traverse over to the West Peak and true summit of Mount Daniel. The majority of the route is class two or one with perhaps a few class 3 moves. Trailhead to summit is just shy of eight miles.

Attempted the FKT yesterday 10/15/2022. Finished in 4hrs 52 mins. Gorgeous day and minimal snow coverage, quite enjoyable.  https://www.strava.com/activities/7968836492
